He’s using two systems: a fast, intuitive System 1 that quickly generates responses, and a slow, deliberate System 2 that reasons step-by-step for accuracy. System 1 is great for quick, fluent answers but can miss details or make mistakes, while System 2 trades speed for deeper thinking and precision. Users can trigger System 2 by asking Agent T to “show its work” or use special prompts to improve reliability. This balance lets Agent T deliver smarter answers by knowing when to sprint and when to slow down.
